Electronic music artist 747 will be collaborating with visual artist Emily Nicoll. Collectively, they are creating a dynamic exchange between the digital and physical worlds in their exhilarating collaborative installation, “Pacific Spirit.” Look forward to minting this generative art and vinyl album on Art Blocks! Look for it on April 25th, giving collectors a one-of-a-kind mix of music, art, and algorithmic creation. Each NFT you mint will then transform into that NFT’s unique vinyl sleeve (2×12” album) representation. As soon as it’s done, we’ll send it right to your door!
A Sonic and Visual Exploration of British Columbia
Inspired by the mountains and forests of British Columbia, “Pacific Spirit” takes listeners on a journey through both nature and city life. This album marks the second studio album released through Aquaregia by 747. She mixes jungle breaks, ambient atmosphere, and detailed rhythmic patterns into psychedelic warmth, dreamlike fluidity, and sheer force. Further collaboration with Emily Nicoll has introduced a visual aspect to the project, creating a well-rounded artistic experience.
The Art Blocks Drop
“Pacific Spirit” release on Art Blocks isn’t just another drop. It is an especially innovative thing, though, where each NFT that gets minted has a one-to-one relationship with a physical piece of art. Every collector who mints an NFT is getting a 2×12” vinyl copy of the album. As those images will be generated every time a copy is minted, they’ll be printed onto the actual record sleeve, rendering each copy unique. This new model is a groundbreaking intersection of digital ownership and physical art.
Rarity and Distribution
With the generative nature of the project, each piece will be its own unique creation. Other traits will be much more uncommon, for example the “acid” trait which only makes up 3.03% of the entire collection. This very concept of collectibility ties into the project’s element of rarity, which provides yet another layer of collectibility to the project. We’ll then print and ship any unminted pieces (up to 300) to record shops around the globe. With Triple Vision Record Distribution we’re going to be able to really connect the music with everybody!
